The inaugural
function of Regional Science Congress was held at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya
Tenughat on Monday, 13th November 2006 in a somber atmosphere
(due to the demise of Sri A.K. Singh, PET Bokaro on 12th
November, 2006). The program began with the Saraswati Vandana by the girl
students of JNV Bokaro .The function was inaugurated by the Chief guest Sri A.P.
Trivedi, Deputy Commissioner, NVS Patna with the lighting of the lamp. A welcome
song followed it.
Anointing
the participants as ‘Young Scientists’ Sri. K.K. Rao, Asstt. Comm. NVS Patna
expressed great happiness over providing a suitable environment to the
meritorious students by organizing such science Congresses, which provide a common
platform to them to invent, experiment and discover new things in the field of
Science and Technology. He exhorted them to develop a scientific temperament for
the welfare of the society.
Expressing deep
sorrow at the demise of Sri A.K. Singh, PET Bokaro the Hon’ble Chief guest Sri
A.P. Trivedi, Deputy Commissioner, NVS Patna appealed the audience to brave the
circumstances patiently. He then welcomed and congratulated the participants for
being selected for attending the Science Congress. He motivated them to discuss
and share knowledge and information and draw fruitful conclusions. He talked
about gyan, vigyan and pragyan and inspired the young scientists to play the
role of a pragyani.
